Our very own Founders built our new Beach Cart from the ground up to help modern families tackle the beach day. Ben and Karla founded Sunday Supply Co. in 2015 with a goal to provide stylish and sustainable beach accessories. Since, the busy husband and wife duo have had three children and their expanding brood us opened them up to the needs of a family day out at the beach. The Sunday Supply Co. Beach Cart has been tried and tested by the family of five and we speak to Ben and Karla on what inspires them and how their family uses the new Beach Cart.

What inspired the idea of adding a Beach Cart to the range?

Adding the beach cart to our offering was something we explored and researched for years. It took some summers to imagine what purpose it would play in our beach days, the functionality and also its shape and colour. It took the arrival of our third child to really bring our vision to life, as we created a cart that fits an entire days beach set up in it, the kids can pull it with ease and our now 1.5 year old naps in it under the cabana whilst we surf! It really was the perfect addition.

What makes the Sunday Supply Co. Beach Cart different and stand out to others on the market?

We imagined a simple minimalist shape that had dual functionality that could represent our iconic colours, prints and materials with minimal fussy structure on show. Our cart packs flat for travel ease and pops out and ready to roll in a matter of seconds. The handle tucks neatly under cart and when in use, pulls the cart and turns its sturdy (sand friendly) wheels with ease. The wall of the cart collapses to create a seat and lastly, we have an adjustable umbrella strap on the side cart to help carry those beach day loads. To us, this was like the extra set of hands or two that every family needs!

Any funny stories or memories to share about days on the beach with your family?

Our beach days are long as we dip in and out of the water surfing and swimming.. by days end the kids are making up all sorts of fun games like using the cart to chauffeur around the Queen (our 1.5 year old) using it as a cart to carry the precious cargo. It’s very sweet. Our 1.5 years old daughter Bo naps in our cart almost religiously every beach day. We usually see many friends who will do those long surfing beach days too who will take turns to nap their babies in our cart too. It’s these moments that will make beautiful Summer memories.
